Jackson Pollock is one of the most famous American artists of the 20th century and well known for his “action paintings”. This piece is inspired by his creation entitled “Number 10.” Dancers have become the paint, and stage the canvas; enjoy this painting brought to life before your eyes.

Diminishing Worth

A single dime journeys through time as it encounters different decades and the shifting value it once held. Through a series of duets, each period reveals what ten cents could buy, reflecting the changes in culture, needs, and worth. As the dance progresses into the present, the dime’s significance fades, highlighting the impact of time and inflation.

Tensemble

This ensemble piece with ten dancers uses music with an unconventional time signature, playful groupings of dancers, along with recall of movement to explore ten as a numeral.

To My Younger Self

Ten years can serve as a benchmark between key events in life, inviting us to reflect on how much our lives, and we ourselves, have changed in that time. This piece explores a meeting between past and present versions of the same person, examining just how much has changed while the heart of who they are remains unchanged.

Where Daffodils Once Stood 

This piece is a reflection of being ten years old, carrying the possibility of feelings still blooming within. Inspired by the 10-year anniversary, the daffodil—a symbol of rebirth—bridges the gap between then and now. This is an invitation to playfully revisit the past, honor growth, and gently care for the inner child who still dances beneath the surface.

Let’s Get This Party Started!

As performers, we know the feeling all too well. Taking the hands of our friends, we rush to the dance floor, excited to show off our moves, only to get caught in a DJ loop of TEN of the most popular line dances played at social events. Will these dancers conform to the traditional right-left patterns of footwork or bring a sense of elevated choreographic artistry to the mix?

The Ever Turning Wheel

Inspired by the 10th Major Arcana Tarot card, The Wheel of Fortune, this piece explores the ephemeral nature of life and time. As a wheel is always turning, so is the seemingly singular path of life that, now especially in modern life, seems to move at an unprecedented pace. But is it truly a single path, or could the tumult of life instead bring us to a greater understanding of ourselves in the larger fabric of the world?

Ten Minutes Ago 

In this jazzy rendition of the Rodgers + Hammerstein Broadway classic, “Ten Minutes Ago”, from Cinderella, the ladies at the royal ball share the excitement of meeting the prince, a mere ten minutes ago! This playful retelling captures the whirlwind magic of an unforgettable moment.
