Masterclass with Iris Rosa: Immerse yourself in the the creative experience

Join Iris Rosa for a transformative two-hour masterclass that blends jazz technique with contemporary flavor, exploring rhythm, movement, and narrative-driven choreography. In the first hour, the class will focus on grounded and rooted jazz technique. The second hour will transition into choreographic play, where participants will engage in creative exploration, guided by Iris Rosa’s unique artistic process. This masterclass offers intermediate and advanced dancers an opportunity to delve into the intersection of technique and storytelling, ideal for dancers seeking to deepen their artistry and expand their narrative structure.
Hello, Indy dancers! Crossroads Dance Indy is thrilled to announce auditions for our Summer 2025 performance! The performance explores the depth of powerful emotions and vivid imagery, inspired by themes of anger, hope, sadness, joy, and beyond!

AUDITION DATE: March 3
AUDITION TIME: 6:30-8:30 PM (Doors will open early for warm-ups; please arrive early to complete forms and bring your calendars.)
AUDITION LOCATION: Dance Creations Academy (9257 Castlegate Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46256)
AUDITION COST: Free (There will be a project-based dancer fee if selected to participate.)
AGE REQUIREMENT: 21+
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Primarily aimed at intermediate/advanced dancers, but all experience levels are welcome to attend!
SHOW DATES: Tentatively August 14-24, exact dates to be announced early June.

The audition will include a guided warm-up, followed by choreographer-led combinations incorporating ballet, modern, and jazz movement, as well as improv.
​
Crossroads Dance Indy (CDI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dance collective with a mission to foster community and collaboration. Our rehearsals take place primarily on Mondays from 6-10 PM at Dance Creations Academy. If Mondays are not ideal for you, we are open to exploring alternative rehearsal times, so we still encourage you to audition!

If selected, we ask that you attend our Monday technique classes (exceptions can be made if needed). Rehearsal attendance is mandatory for all pieces you are cast in. While we strive to accommodate absences when possible, regular attendance is crucial.

Please note: Crossroads Dance Indy does not have a vaccination policy, but we will adhere to any guidelines set by the performance venues and will keep dancers updated on any changes.
